Take a Pic Using this!

I have been out of internet connection for the past one week. I couldn't check my mail, could not list my item, could not relist my item, could not reply my mail, unable to update my FB, in short life was miserable. Numerous calls have been made every other day to my service provider to beg them to restore the connection. As i expected, it has been a major 'problem' that cannot be solved in short period of time. I was informed that the fiber optic cable that connects to my home was some how 'broken' unknown of a reason. Was still wondering how it could happen...assuming that was the real problem. Now, thanks to miracle i am back on the internet again.

During my off-internet time, i found that i have plenty time on hand. This makes me realise that i did spend an large amount of time being online. So i crochet something that i always wanted but could not really afford to buy at this point of time.. a DSLR Camera. I always think that having such a camera is really cool. Yes, indeed it is cool. But the features of these cameras is much more cooler. Think of precise color in photos taken and the great intricate details these cameras can capture, makes it a must buy item in future.

For the time being, i will be satisfied with my crochet version of the camera and my mini tripod. Oh, by the way, this pic was taken by a Canon 7.1 Mp Digital Camera. My best friend and helper for now!

Crochet your own sewing machine!

This pattern is dedicated to my late mother. She used to be a full time tailor as long as i can remember. Most of the time she will make men trousers and some blouses, but in free time she still makes some dolls clothes for my barbie. And that was 15 years ago, still miss those moments. Until now i still have all those dolls clothes with me, something that i will treasure forever. Maybe i will post some pictures on this blog someday.

My first crochet lesson is with my mother, she teaches me the basic of crocheting. But being a child at that time, i really does not have the patience to learn properly. My very first project was making a skirt for my Barbie doll. It really does not turn out like what i expected, but anyway practice makes perfect. From there i have developed my lifetime passion of crocheting and craft. Just a little regret for not mastering the art of sewing, i could not sew properly now.

This pattern is a simplified version of the sewing machine that are used by my mother. I choose pink color for the soft look of the sewing machine. Hope that people out there will enjoy making this as much as i do.
As usual all my patterns are available in my Etsy, Ebay, Ravelry and Dawanda Stores online.

Make your own Takoyaki Octopus Ball!

Okay...i have to admit that i have been extremely late in updating my blog for the past 2 weeks. I have just came back from a week long holiday in somewhere else. The trip was good and the weather was just nice, even though it gets cooler in the night. Being away from home gives me more inspiration and ideas for me to crochet in future!

This pattern was actually completed just before a board the plane. So i was rushing to put it in my online stores and was not able to update it in my blog. When i came back, i was extremely exhausted from all those travelling and sleep most of the time for the past 3 days. Finally i am able to update my stuff and my store.
So i have made a Takoyaki or Octopus Ball maker set. It is a famous snacks in Japan. The pattern consists of the pan, oil jug, batter jug, salt, sauce and ready-made takoyaki. As usual you can find all my patterns in Etsy, Ebay, Ravelry or Dawanda Stores.

Time to do some IRONING!

Believe it or not, i try my utmost best to avoid to do ironing chores. Buying clothes that are not easily creased or wrinkle free clothes definitely help in reducing the chances of doing this boring chores. However, i do feel guilty for not ironing my clothes as often i do previously while holding a full time job.

In order to make up with sense of guilt, i have decided to create and design a crochet pattern for iron with ironing board. I am sure there are people out there will enjoy making this fun pattern. Could always use this 'iron' to iron some dolls clothes and there is no risk of getting burn!

As usual, all my patterns will be available in my Etsy, Ebay, Ravelry and Dawanda Stores!

Crochet Dim Sum for Everyone!

Another of my favorite food for breakfast, dim sum. Dim Sum originated from the chinese, with the popular ones coming from Hong Kong. The Hong Kong style dim sum comes with a large variety of steamed and deep fried food. Most people prefer the steamed compared to those that are deep fried. It is usually eaten with chinese tea as breakfast in most places.

My crochet version of dim sum comprises of 10 different types.

Pork Bun - Also known as 'Char Siu Bao'. Steamed Bun with filling of pork inside. May also be different type of filling such as lotus paste.

Egg Custard Tart - Known as ' Dan Tart' in Chinese, is made from normal tart skin with egg custard filling in middle. Best to be eaten fresh out of the oven!

Prawn Dumpling - Also called 'Har Gau'. As the name suggest, the filling is all fresh prawn wrap in thin dumpling skin which then steamed to cook. My favorite of all din sum!

Mini Spring Roll - Known as 'Chun Kuen'. Ingredients consists of all thinly shredded carrot, turnip and some meat.

Panfried Dumpling - Similar to prawn dumpling but with different ingredients. Usually pork was used as main ingredients. It is panfried and not steamed.

Sesame Seed Ball - Deep fried ball of flour with filling of red bean paste and covered with sesame.

Shao Mai - Most popular type of Dim Sum. Made from pork and steamed using bamboo steamer.

Rice Noodles Roll - Also known as 'Cheung Fun'. Made from thin rice flour paste and steamed with filling of either prawn or pork (char siu).

Taro Dumpling - Made from taro (also known as yam) with filling of 'char siu' and deep fried.

Lotus Leaf Rice - Known as ' Lo Mai Gai'. Steamed rice with filling of chicken on a lotus leaf.

How i wish i could have all these right now!

If you are lazy to cook or wanted to have a quick meal without getting out of your home, then canned food would be your saviour. Every now and then, i will buy some canned food and store them up. It is perfect for those lazy moments where you are lazy to cook but still need to eat time. Especially for people like me!

Toaster Set Crochet Pattern

As everyone knows i like to crochet food items, partly inspired by food models from Japan and partly due to my love for nice food. I couldn't eat that much but looking at it makes me satisfied.

I always wanted to make something that has an electrical cord with a plug. So this time i have tested out my cord and plug using a toaster. This is the special feature of this pattern. I think it looks more realistic with a cord and plug. Another feature of this pattern is that you can really put your crochet bread inside the toaster! Sure will add more fun to it.

Pancakes For All!

I think it will be fun to make your own pancakes and selecting your own toppings. You may come up with thousands of combination just to suit your taste. Or even maybe to experiment with new flavors? I know there is a shop that specialize only in selling pancakes, not in in my country though.

My pattern consists of a pancakes maker where all the crocheted pancakes will fit nicely into the pan. With 5 different toppings, you can mix and match the toppings. You could even put a few different toppings at once!

My favorite would definitely be the chocolate and cream combination. Its definitely yummy!Happy Crocheting Everyone!

Make your own Christmas Tree!

I know it seems a bit too early to prepare for Christmas but nothing is wrong to prepare early right? Haha..

This is the most time consuming and 'patience testing' pattern i have ever made. It might not seems like that much of work, but imagine among all those ruffles and layers after layers of trees. It hidden the most work of the crochet. I did consider to remove or reduce the ruffles and layers, but it wouldn't create the effects that i wanted. So to achieve the desired look, i have to bear the huge sums of stitches. I think i need to calculate how many thousands of stitches that i have crochet...

Okay, back to the Christmas tree. Consists of 8 different layers of 'leaf' at different diameter at each level. I have used some shiny acrylic yarn of gold, red and silver to make a round ornament for the tree. Hang on the tree using split ring and finished of with a gold and red ribbon. The top of the tree is a yellow star. Whole tree measure 12 inches from top to bottom.
More christmas theme stuff coming up. For those interested, please visit my Etsy or Ebay store.

Happy Crocheting.

A Cup of Coffee...

I am not really a big fan of coffee, can't really recall the last time i had my cup of coffee. Even though i not really into it, but everyone around me was really addicted to it especially my brother! Most people would really need to boost up their energy when they wakes up everyday. Caffeine booster!! :)

So i thought it would be a great idea to crochet a complete set of coffee making equipment. This pattern consists of a coffee grinder, so that you could grind your own coffee bean. Then make your own coffee with kettle and cup!
As usual my pattern will be available in my Etsy and Ebay store!

This collection consists of Fast Food, Sushi, Swiss Roll, Bread, Snacks, Eggs, Noodles, Spaghetti, Pancakes, Crepe, Pizza, Biscuits and Super Size Food.
